The substrate should meet the following requirements:

Plank substrates should additionally meet the following requirements:

– be made of boards of the same thickness, with maximum width 15 Cm,

– be made of boards joined with a "tongue and groove" in objects exposed to strong gusts of wind from below, for example. in sheds and in objects with small slopes from 20% into 36% and with a rafter spacing greater than 1,1 m,

– be made of boards joined with a "tongue and groove" or a rebate; then the best aesthetic results are obtained.
