Zdun uses the following tools for his daily work: a stove fitting, also called an angle for marking right angles in the tile top and aligning them (rys.a), tile cutter (rys.b), Small blowout hammer for striking a knife and a punch (rys.b), Big blowout hammer (rys.d) to mirror the edges of the tile edges from underneath to reduce their thickness, (for easy clipping), punch or dornik, i.e.. stove fitting, for marking the cutting line on the tile (Lynx. e), Grinding stone for grinding cut tile edges (you should use a stone smaller and not thicker than 2 Cm, because they are more tiring at work - Fig. f), template (slide measure) to check the equal measure of the tiles used (rys.g), a stove-pipe spirit level used to check the level and verticality of the wall during the execution of the furnace (Lynx. h). Metal spirit levels are the most practical; a rule-ruler for checking the vertical and horizontal evenness of walls with a spirit level (Lynx. i). It is advisable to have a shorter and longer ruler. When limited to one ruler, it should not be shorter than 1,10 m. In order to prevent the wood from warping, it is advisable to draw the ruler correctly with hot varnish; aluminum plate to mark a line on the tile for cutting or cutting and filling the joints in the furnace, made of smooth cut tiles (Lynx. j), tiling tongs for tearing off pieces cut in a tile or in a fireclay board (Lynx. k), chisel for cutting furrows in masonry (Lynx. e).
