Domestic refrigerators and freezers

Domestic refrigerators and freezers.

The purpose of refrigeration equipment is to maintain low temperatures in an insulated chamber – a space cooled by a refrigeration unit. These devices provide optimal temperatures for storing perishable foodstuffs, using basic physical rights, such as: condensation of steam, evaporation of liquids, compression and expansion of the refrigerant, Absorbing, i.e. absorption of certain chemical compounds by liquid.

The functioning of refrigeration equipment is based on this, that the refrigerant circulates in a closed system and mediates heat transfer. The most popular factors include: Water, ammonia, carbon dioxide, freon. Multiple manufacturers, for the sake of the natural environment, as a refrigerant of aggregates uses technical gas safe for the ozone zone of the atmosphere.

The figure shows the information sign to be placed on refrigeration equipment, in which an ecological refrigerant is used.

Depending on the type of unit used, refrigeration equipment is distinguished:

— compressor,

— absorption,

— thermoelectric.

To the essential elements, in addition to the aggregate, includes thermoregulator, allowing devices to automatically turn off and on. Modern products more and more often have microprocessor temperature controllers installed, designed for adjustment, measurement and digital indication of temperature values. They also allow for automatic defrosting, as well as fast defrosting.

Inside, the refrigeration chamber is equipped with wire shelves or tempered safety glass, drawers and small containers. These elements are designed in this way, to ensure optimal use of chamber space. The walls of the device must be provided with good insulation. In new versions, environmentally neutral insulation materials are introduced, for example. polyurethane foam foamed with ecologically pure n-pentene.

Cabinets (case) refrigeration equipment should be aesthetically pleasing, with a fashionable design line, in different color versions, but most often white. Must not have traces of enamel splinters, corrosion or scratches.

Cabinet doors should be thoroughly sealed. Manufacturers use for this purpose a special elastic rubber with a magnetic insert and a supersaturated preparation that prevents the growth of microorganisms. The tightness of the door is checked by inserting strips of paper in several places. When the door is closed, the straps should not be easily pulled out.

Among the characteristic usable sizes of refrigerators should be mentioned:

— overall dimensions (cuboid dimensions including equipment), for example. maximum height 85 -177 Cm, width 56 Cm, depth 54 – 60 Cm

— net usable volume, for example. 110-201 dm³,

— equipment, for example. number of shelves/containers 5/2,

— supply voltage in V at frequency 50 Hz,

— net mass in kg,

— defrosting (Automatic, Manual),

— Star markings, for example.:

* storage temperature — 6°C,

** storage temperature — 12°C,

*** food storage temperature — 18°C,

**** food storage temperature - 18°C or lower, deep freezing,

— annual electricity consumption in kWh, for example. 244 – 602 Kwh.

Depending on the purpose, household refrigeration appliances are divided into:

— refrigerators,

— fridge-freezers,

— freezers.

Taking into account the design, refrigeration equipment is manufactured as: free-standing, for embedding, for hanging and single compartment, multi-compartment with division of freezing and storage.

Refrigeration equipment is transported in bulk with special transport protection. Shocks should be avoided during movement, as well as do not put on the sides. The seller is obliged to make a careful inspection of external mechanized household appliances. It should pay attention to the overall aesthetics of the product, thorough finishing. Check the completeness of the equipment, easy to adjust individual elements.

After properly assembling the whole device, he should connect it to the network using a wire and auscultatively check the uniformity and quietness of the electric motor. After disassembly, carefully place the test equipment in the package again, remembering to attach the instruction manual and a properly completed warranty card.

Producer, through the seller, guarantees a high level of product quality, by placing your trademark and safety sign "B" on it. In addition, numerous information signs are provided on the nameplates and in the instruction manual for mechanized household appliances, allowing you to quickly get an idea of the many features of the product.
