Insulation materials for wall insulation

What insulation materials are used to insulate external walls?
For insulating external walls, foamed polystyrene and mineral wool boards are used. Both materials have the same value of the thermal conductivity coefficient (k = 0,04 W/(Mk). Water vapor penetration is better for mineral wool (μ=1) than for expanded polystyrene (μ = 40).

What insulation materials are used to insulate walls from the inside?
For insulating the walls from the inside, drywall is used (with a warming layer of foamed polyurethane, expanded polystyrene or mineral wool). These plates are also manufactured with a vapor-proof screen. Light wood wool slabs are also suitable for plasters. The painter can also use a primer of hard polystyrene foam or soft polyurethane foam under the wallpaper, as well as insulating cardboard.
Textile upholstery made of non-woven fabric or carpet also increases thermal insulation. However, since the effectiveness of insulation depends not only on the thermal conductivity coefficient, but also from the thickness of the layer, these claddings, a few millimeters thick, are not very effective.
