Air heating, part 2

The advantages of air heating include:
a) cheaper cost of operation and simplified operation, because smoking only takes place in one place, for a few or even several rooms,
b) reducing the risk of fire,
c) low cost of the entire device, especially if it is installed in a building under construction, because then the cost is lower than the cost of building the furnaces,
d) very simplified regulation of heating by opening or closing the channel door,
e) not taking up space in the rooms for any heating devices.

Air heating also has serious disadvantages, especially when the air is heated by means of non-accumulative iron solids, having a high surface temperature. Organic particles burn on this surface and float with the air to all heated rooms. Because to better heat the lower parts of the rooms, the openings for used air return are located at the floor, a large amount of dust gets through these holes and then through the channels to the heater. The use of air filters at the outlet of the channels prevents this. It is possible to build heaters in the form of tiled stoves - accumulation, thus avoiding all-day operation of the device and smoking in the heater, however, with such a heater structure, the size of the room intended for the heater must be considerable, for free access (when necessary for repair) to the entire surface of the heater. This entails a much higher cost for the heating installation.

Air duct acoustics, to connect the channels with each other, the possibility of transferring odors, insects and infectious diseases should be placed on all heated rooms’ also classified as serious. the disadvantages of this heating. Improved air heating method with purge, air humidification, by activating the circulation and automatic regulation removes almost all the above-mentioned disadvantages and meets the hygiene requirements.

The use of such heating in a single-family apartment reduces the risk of transferring insects and various diseases in the air ducts only to people living in the apartment..
