In addition to heat-storing furnaces, non-capacitive furnaces are also used, that is, they do not accumulate heat and cool down quickly after smoking is stopped. Depending on the type of fuel used, these furnaces are divided into:

a) non-capillary coal furnaces,

b) non-capillary petroleum furnaces,

c) noncapacity gas furnaces,

d). electric non-capillary furnaces.

Non-capacitive coal furnaces. Coal-fired furnaces are mostly portable, can be divided into ordinary iron furnaces without or. with chamotte carpet, and for continuous burning furnaces,

The simplest type of lined iron furnace, for continuous smoking.

The simplest type of lined iron stove for continuous burning is shown in the figure. The furnace consists of a charging shaft, outer sheath, fireclay flooring, grate, the door with- checkered, charging door and a smoke pipe with a throttle. The ash door with a regulating latch is used to regulate the air supply.

An important feature of a continuous burning stove is a basket grate, located above the usual shaking grate and a hopper extending from the furnace head almost to the grate. The hopper is used as a fuel tank here, which, as the fuel burns in the basket grate, slides into it from the hopper.
